An interdisciplinary team of employees from the Department of Polish Studies and the Department of Neophilology of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, as well as employees from other faculties and departments, are working on the project “Citizen journalism for enhancement of regional development. Development of interdisciplinary curricula and implementation of teaching innovations”.

Currently, the team is focused on the main goal of the project - the development of a new specialization module "Citizen Journalism", which is planned to be implemented into BA and MA studies of Polish philology. 

Summarized results of a survey and focus group interviews has been already presented in a report. In the following months, the following elements will be also developed: an educational portal with open educational resources, providing tools for online or hybrid education; an interdisciplinary textbook for citizen journalism, as well as a series of 15 video lectures available on the educational portal.

The project is conducted by a team of employees of the University of Bielsko-Biala and the partner University of Tromsø – The Arctic University of Norway.
