Polish philology at the University of Bielsko-Biala as a beneficiary of the latest edition of the Educational Programme

The project of a new Polish philology specialization - "Citizen Journalism" - was approved by the verification committee. It assumes the creation of a new educational offer for BA and MA studies, its implementation and promotion, as well as the creation of an information portal.

The project of a new Polish philology specialization - "Citizen Journalism" - was approved by the verification committee. It assumes the creation of a new educational offer for BA and MA studies, its implementation and promotion, as well as the creation of an information portal.

The proposed specialization module includes subjects educating future professionals in the field of journalism focused on issues related to the functioning of the region, in particular: social inclusion, ecology, education, migration, identity, civic awareness, social communication and the media.

The Education Program (EMF EEA 2014-2021), for which the Foundation for the Development of the Education System (FRSE) is the Operator, was established under an intergovernmental agreement on the implementation of the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism, concluded between Iceland, the Principality of Liechtenstein and the Kingdom of Norway and the Republic of Poland. The aim of the program is to “create a green, competitive and socially inclusive Europe”.

Employees of the University of Tromsø - Arctic University of Norway, whose interests and scientific achievements correspond to the profile of the created programs and guarantee professionalism in the implementation of innovative teaching methods, are involved in the implementation of the project at the University of Bielsko-Biala.

The initiators of the application hope that the planned specialization will make the educational offer in the field of Polish philology more attractive and will attract talented and curious young people.

The implementation of the project will take two years, the allocated funds amount to almost PLN 130,000. euro.
